insullation class for altornators

i have 3.3 KV, 5 MW Alternator of insulation class F, ambient temperature is 40 C deg, what is recommended limit of tripping for over temperature?

Depends on the service factor, 1.0 or 1.15? Nominally, with an 85ºC(NEMA MG-1) rise and 40 ºC ambient, trip setpoint would be 125ºC. Some people are a bit more liberal and use 135ºC.
