With Citect 5.31, can I generate directly databases where citect store configuration data (without compile configuration's form under project editor)? There is some document describing detailed structure of these databases? Thank you for any suggestion!

Yes you can modify the DBF files outside of Citect with Access or Excel. If you use Excel you must be careful not to change column widths and should use the Citect utility "save_dbf.xls" from you BIN directory to save or else loose records (due to database size).

Only very experienced users should modify DBFs other than the variable, trend and digalm. Backup before mods, and pack in the Project Editor after.

I regularly generate tags, alarms and trend in Excel because it is much quicker than adding one by one.

Email me if you have queries.
