We are trying to interface an Accela-Cota machine running Windows for Workgroups 3.1.1 and InTouch 5.6 with a Windows XP workstation.

Anyone have any experience or recommendations on how to make this work...?

 

Frankly, the easiest way to make it work is to junk the Win3.1.1 workstation, buy a new one with XP Pro, and upgrade InTouch to the current version, which operates quite well on XP.

Anything else you do will be a bandaid.

Sorry, but that's the truth.

Hi,
1) You have upgrade Intouch 5.6 Tag package to
Intouch 9.5 with some x cost with IO Server too.

2) Run New version of Intouch with Windows XP Professional edition with SP 2 also.

3) Well while ugrading you system also take care of your exisiting PLC inerface Protocol available with New version of IO server .
