I'm looking for a way to create an historical data X-Y graph in InTouch Wonderware. (ie, pressure versus flow graph). InTouch provides a Productivity Pack add in called Event Chart Wizard, but it only plots live data. Any suggestions?

 

The Wonderware Knowledge Base has an ActiveX X-Y plotter available, it may suit your needs.

If you don't have comp support, it may be available on the demo, I am not sure.

You might try this Plot Pack Activex -- not sure of the best way to make method calls in Wonderware scripting as that is how you pass data to this XY plot ActiveX is by calling a method and passing in the data points but if you're good with using ActiveX controls with InTouch you could try this

Is it true that Wonderware can't create X-Y graphs from historical data? Isn't there a native graphing tool that permits this ? Hmmmm ...

I have had the same request some time ago
Our solution was to read the data into x and y tags. We then calculated 'x and y positions' and 'height and width' for a series of boxes each containing a line from bottom left to top right. Not a simple solution but gave us what we needed
