I have two types of cable trays running in my plant up to control room.
one is loaded with cables which are intrinsically safe and other is loaded with no-IS cables.

now, RTD cables that are used for heat tracing for lines are to be layed and my question is whether they shall be layed in non-IS trays or IS trays?

Normally in Engineering RTD cable run with IS cable, because it can not store or generate more than 1.2 V, 0.1 A, 20 micro Joules, and 25mW.

which is safe to run with IS cable trays.
