Intrusive and Non-intrusive Sand Probes

The requirement involves both intrusive and non intrusive sand monitors.

There is a requirement for Non intrusive sand probe in a project I am involved now. My client have some objection regarding the Emerson (Roxar) brand. Can anyone suggest another brand which is equally good? If a spec can be shared, it will be more helpful.

What exactly is a sand probe or a sand monitor? I can't say I have ever heard the phrase before. Is this to monitor the amount of sand in a liquid?
