I'm thinking about using it to drive the Nema 17 steppers on a 10x10" xy stage. BUT...I wasn't sure if an arduino with a cheap little stepper controller is now capable of doing something comparable-ish (so much smaller, USB no RS232, etc. etc.). I don't actually need that fine resolution on the XY stage...but maybe it'd be nice for repeatability.
