I am interested in knowing the future automation, already I have worked on many PLC's. Can you tell me the hot part of above mentioned technology concerned with automation. so that I can create my skill set on these.

You might want to begin studying the draft Real-Time Specification for Java (a fairly difficult task, especially asynchrony (chapter 9)), and start experimenting with the initial products (such as IBM's VisualAge Microedition, downloadable for free from ibm.com/embedded).

You might also start learning about, and how to use, Jini and SOAP.
