hi guys,

what is the present job scenario in north america and especially in canada in the controls and automation sector? i'm a recently graduated elec engg. i have some experience working in project mgmt (<1 yr) for an epc company in oil&gas sector but not in n. america. i would like to continue in that. my education is canadian.
can anyone guide me to any job openings with consultants or other c&a companies?

I'm not in the oil and gas business and don't have any contacts for you. However, there are several large projects in the works connected with tar sands and heavy oil (Alberta), off shore oil and gas (the east coast), and
gas development in the arctic. If your experience stretches to the mining industry, diamonds (NWT) seem to be the hot item now, with several major developments occurring there as well. If you don't get any better replies, this might give you some hints of what to look for.
