Hi all;

I have a bunch of K Type thermocouples (2 dozen) that I must convert to 4 to 20 ma.

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive product ?

DIN rail might be preferred ,,,,, but anything goes ....

TIA

Try GE Fanuc's line of signal conditioners called SensorPulse. They convert just about any signal to another signal.

DEVAR Inc, has some 2 wire transmitters that fit into a Thermocouple Head Enclosure.

Model 18-8111

K Range 0-200 DegF or 0 to 750 DegF +- .01%

Just had a brochure laying around.

Can I ask?? WHY to milliamp and not to a digital signal - ethernet or some fieldbus

Thanks to all for your suggestions.

To answer Rob, I need analog signals to feed my datalogger, which accepts either 0 to 5 VDC or 4 to 20 ma.

You can buy Philips make transmitters which are DIN rail mounted (of safety barrier size), available in market. There are several such products also.
