I have a 6 inch by 2.5 inch orifice in a 6 inch schedule 40 pipe. We have connected a differential pressure transmitter via pipe taps across this orifice. The transmitter range is 0 to 25 kpa. Currently this transmitter is reading 13 kpa. The system pressure is 700 kpa. Fluid temperature is 165 Deg C. The fluid is a tri-ethylene glycol water mixture aprox 80/20. The operators tell me its density is aproximately 1.016.
Is there a formula that I can plug these values into and derive a flowrate. Or is more data required.
Thanks in advance for your help.
