Liquid Fuel pressure low trip during Fuel C/O

We are running GTGs on Naphtha & HSD as stand-by fuel-which we are keeping on recirculation mode. At more than 5MW if we change over fuel, GTGs are getting tripped on Liquid Fuel pressure low most of the times. Our 3 way control valve is responding very poor.

Can anybody help me out. Whether we can put one accumulator after the 3 way valve. So that it will not allow pressure drop.

Based on the limited data you have provided, rather than investing in an accumulator wouldn't your money be better spent on improving the "response" of the three-way control valve?

You might install an accumulator and find you needed a larger one. If you can improve the slew rate of the three-way valve, or change the trim of the three-way valve to improve the fuel transfer you will probably be better off than installing an accumulator.

But, precisely what is causing the trip? Low pressure? Are you sure the switch is working correctly? Is it 'Loss of Flame'? What is happening to the load when transferring fuel; is it stable, is it dropping quickly causing a reverse power breaker open event? Is the load dipping slightly or increasing?

Because if load is relatively stable when a low pressure trip is occurring, then maybe the setting of the switch is not correct. If it's a loss of flame trip, then more work is needed, like improving the ability of the three-way valve to maintain proper flow.
