Hi everyone! I'm looking for a drive for a motor I want to run. As I'm searching, I find myself jumping from site to site, just randomly looking at what google brings me. I was hoping someone here might have a better place to start my search (like some sort of drive selection tool), or might know offhand of a drive that will work for me.

The motor I need to run is a brushed PMDC motor rated at 90V and 12A maximum. I need a serial connection to the drive and a tachometer input. The motor will be running at about 1000 rpm, and is rated for 1800 RPM. Here is a link to the motor:

Basically, the motor will be in an area that is dangerous to enter when running, so I need to be able to control it from a computer a good distance away.

AD also sells DC drives.

 

That's a pretty standard DC motor. Google KB Drives and once on their site, sort by price and go up the line until you find the features you need.

They have a pretty good selector setup.
