looking for redialing modem

Anyone know of a modem that will auto dial if loss of carrier or power failure? Found Black Box one for $600 but wonder if any other out there. Currently using 4800 asy with no compression or error correction.

The 3Com (former US Robotics) Courier modem can be
programmed with "AT" commands to auto redial. I used several of them a couple of years ago in a leased line application. Black Box lists them for $213 (V.34 version). (They also have the 56K version for $267, but it doesn't sound like you would benefit from it.)

I have specified SIXNET industrial modems in some of our applications and had good results with them. I have included below the web address for the data spec's for their self dailing industrial modem. It has a discrete input to control auto dialing and sells for $475.00.
