we have a plan to drain and change lube oil of ms6001b turbine (25000 operating hours). i want to ask how long that we have to cool down the turbine to drain lube oil? is there any specific condition we have to fulfilled?
And i want to ask about maintenance hours for ci, hgpi and mi, we use distilate fuel for ms6001b and ms5001 turbine.

thank you

To drain the lube oil, the turbine must be shut down and off Cooldown (hydraulic ratchet, "turning gear," etc.) so that the Aux. L.O. pump can be shut down.

NO turbine should ever be taken off Cooldown until the *highest* wheelspace temperature is less than approximately 150 deg F. Period. (Obviously, emergencies are a special case and deserve special
consideration.)

Once the unit is safely shut down and off Cooldown, the next consideration is L.O. temperature--what's the safe temperature for people to have to come into contact with. This is to be determined on site.

Maintenance hour recommendations for GE-design heavy-duty gas turbines should be made by the turbine packager, or, refer to GE's document
GER-3620 for very specific maintenance outage guidelines.
