I am Amar DAMENE,

I am having ABB TZIDC-200 positioner along with LEVEL control valve. Now, the problem I am facing is that even though I have provided 4-20 mA supply along with the 6 bar pressure, the valve doesn't move.

Using this steps : Commissioning the positioner:
1. Open the pneumatic power supply.....................................................ok
2. Power-up the electric power supply and feed in the setpoint signal 4 to 20 mA.............................ok

3. Checking mechanical mounting:
• I press and hold MODE button; in addition, I press  or  until
operating mode 1.3 (manual adjustment in the measuring
range) is displayed. I Release MODE button.

• I Press or  to move the actuator into the mechanical end position......................................the actuator doesn't move and the position is always 1.5%

Can you tell us how is the communication done with the positionner ...

Is that HART communication protocol, DTM ( devive type manager ), DSV401 SMARTVISION WITH PC connection...
or LKS adapter or FSK Modem

Thanks for your prompt feedback,

The communication with the positionner is done by HART (Emmerson 475)...
and also we tried to communicate directly by the 2 wires 4-20 mA DCS

Did you try that P8.5 test sequence ...during commissioning..
