In an isolated marine electric power system (6 generators 4400KW, 11KV each), there are 4 thrusters 7000KW each. The is a huge amount of reactive power in the system. What is the best reactive power compensation method for this situation?

Is it better to dedicate a generator for supplying the reactive power or load share the reactive power between generators?
