I need to select a flow meter that is capable of measuring variable flow rates in a 6 inch gravity sewer line prior to any treatment (i.e. solids are still present in flow). The flow rate should range between 0 and 100 gpm (the wastewater line serves a 36 unit mobile home park). There is manhole access to the sewer line. The project is in Alaska where below freezing temperature are a consideration 6 months of the year. Are there flow meters that would function reliably in these conditions?

I would think Siemens Milltronics Ultrasonic transmitter. The municipality I live in uses these throughout the sewer system.
