I am Facing Low Flow measuring Problem in Electromagnetic Flowmeter Siemens SITRANS F M MAGFLO Model MAG 6000.

I Tried all Troubleshooting Problem as mentioned in its vendor Manual.
I have also try to change it excitation frequency but unable to get result. I also switched off its Power supply for 15 minutes and again ON. But it is still in his own MOde, Showing low measuring Value.

Kindly give me Suggetion.

How old is the meter and where are you located? Siemens have a Field Checklist which steps you through the field checks to help diagnose any potential problems with the flow meter.

I could email you the checklist if you like.

A few particulars to check:

- Check that the units of measure are set correctly.

- Confirm that the pipe is full.

- Compare the displayed flow with actual. Is it off by a constant factor?

- Look at both flow rate and total - are both off?

One problem I have seen in mag flow meter was one of the elsctrode seals leaking causing a low resistance to ground. This effectively cuts the voltage in half with a corresponding drop in signal output.

Just empty the tube, disconnect electrodes and check resistance.

Siemens has a "Varificator" that can fully check the condition of their flow meter on line. I suggest you contact your local rep.
