The cloth is subjected to a constant increase of tension and is also heated at a temperature of around 138 degree Celsius. The cloth is kept between 2 rollers who rotate the cloth around them (in circular fashion). Due to a constant increase of tension, the width of the cloth decreases (shrinkage). We have to provide a solution to automatically measure this shrinkage.

Please advice, if it can be done using a PLC or some dedicated controller.
