My vehicles Fuel Level Sensor is giving an output in Ohms. I need to convert this in to Volts and send back continuously to a server through a GPS/GPRS device. MY GPS device have the capability of sending volts only.

If anybody can help me in this topic.

Hi Kanukantly,

you may want to consider "Wheatstone Bridge" as a signal conditioning, to convert "change in resistance" to "change in voltage" . You may want a amplifier to gain the voltage signal from wheatstone bridge before feed to your GPS device.

To "convert" ohms to voltage you need to apply a constant current, then measure the voltage drop across using another pair of wires. Unless you are familiar with intrinsic safety or hazardous areas requirements, I wouldn't recommend making changes to your fuel sensor circuit; you could create an unsafe condition.
