Hi all,
We just finished a new feature for the Control.com site - Member Pages. When a registered member posts on the site, their "Author" name on their post becomes a link to their Member Page, which has their public information (which may include real name, company and title) along with a listing of their previous posts.
To directly access your member page, go to:
http://member.control.com/your_user_name
(Obviously, substitute the name you use to log in for "your_user_name" in the above URL.)
You can control which of your personal data are public by going to the Member Center when you are logged in and editing your registration info. There is a check-box by each item allowing you to make it public, or uncheck it to make it private.
Note that posts are only matched up for registered members, and only when a post is entered on the site (not via the Automation List), since that's the only way our database back-end can match up posts to people.
However, for anyone who has registered as a member but also posts via the A-List, if you drop me a note I'll be glad to enter the necessary SQL magic to tag your past messages with your username. (This will only work for messages to date, and won't automatically tag new messages posted via the A-List.)
We hope to have more elaborated Member Pages in the future, so if the idea of a repository of your contributions to the forum sounds appealing, now might be a good time to register.
Thanks,
Ken Crater
