Does anybody know of a comparison chart/document which lists the good and points of various types of PLCs. We currently standardise on GE Fanuc but we are looking at changing to another PLC manufacturer. Our applications involve switchgear control and communications to SCADA/DCS and intelligent units (Modbus/Profibus/FIP)

P.S. Any such list would be highly subjective.

 

I would tell that the chart and documents you want is subjective type and depends upon the requirements and the input and outputs (I/Os).

What information you want is very difficult to interpret because it will lead to controversies, and many question. The best part of it is that this information will be application specific and will vary as per the application hence it is tough to answer.
