I am planning utilising an AB Micrologix 1110 controller as a Master RTU on a Modbus network that consists of 6 Krohne IFC 300 signal converters in a multidrop system.

The data that I am monitoring from the slave device is in the form of a "double float" 4 register format and represents cubic metres. Micrologix 1100 allows the data to be read in the format of "byte" or "integer" and I was wondering if there is any previous history of others that have successfully retrieved the data under these circumstances. Any help please would be gratefully received.

Steve

Hi Steve, thanks for the feedback but I am not so gifted to completely understand the documentation regarding this format. In a "simple" manner of asking, I am more concerned how the AB Micrologix 1100 controller would interpret/read the correct data as defined by the 4 word binary data, that the controller receives that information. Do you have any help in this area.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,
Steve
