We've got about 3300 I/O points, 8000 tags, 200+ control graphics in a Centum 3000 project. We need to move the project to Centum VP.

Is it possible to import the *.edf files from the old project into a new Centum VP project, or will a full system integration be necessary?

(Note that I'm not imagining a seamless and simple copy-and-paste transition. I do realize that much programming will need to be done even if the project files are compatible.)

The alternative would be to move to another vendor for our automation.

In CENTUM VP the database of the old project can be imported/converted. You do not need to import separate files.
