We are currently doing a MK5 panel upgrade were we are replacing all cards , cables and prom chips. After successfully completing this job and powering up we were going well with A7 status on all processors.
We returned the following morning to find the status on C processor LCC display as "Fail Rom - Main 3"
We have been following a process of elimination putting the old and new chips back in various combinations to see if we can narrow down to the problem. So far we have primarily focused on chips U11,U12, U22 and U23 on the SDCC card. Our latest check is with all the new chips re-installed on a different SDCC card. But as we have no idea how long it is to this failure mode occurs we are really best guessing. A real help would be it if someone could tell us were more accurately to focus our investigation and which chips or cards the Status failure refers to. With the "Fail Rom- Main 3" on display the keypad cannot be accessed to try and get more information. So hopefully someone can tell us to directly look at 1. LCC and chips U6, U7 2. SDCC and chips U11, U12 ,U22 and U23 or 3. TCCA card and chips U8, U9
Thanks
