Could anyone tell me if there is card that sits in the rack of a 115u (944) siemens PLC, that will enable comms over a MODBUS+ network. What is
available on the market and how to it. Help very much appreciated. Thanks.

 

I don't know of a card to fit the rack for Siemens, but Prosoft makes one for AB racks. I would go with something outside the rack, like a
Prolinx bridge. Prolinx has bridges from Profibus or Modbus or Ethernet/IP or some others to Modbus Plus. Check with them at

It's the CP-523. This has only one connection.
The CP-525 has 2, however I don't know if it works in the 115U.

Is a link to the support site. I has a example for modbus. I don't have experience with modbus but the manual:

You need an appropriate CP module and the loadable function blocks for MODBUS.

There is a card CP524 or CP544 available for your purpose. Part Nos are 6ES5 524 *****. you
