Modbus slave with 8051 microcontroller

Hello,

I'm new to MODBUS protocol and I want to realize modbus slave with 8051 microcontroller. I have a easy8051 board with 8051 microcontroller IC from Mikroelektronika, I have to write the code in assembler so that I could read from Analog/Digital(in/out) input via RS232 connector

It would be great to get some help, so please help!
