Good day Ma'am/Sir. Would just like ask help regarding on an issue of our modbus RTU set up of CEMS. The issue here is that there is a frequent loss of communication between the two from time to time. It only reconnects once a reset is done on the slave. The read/write count also of the slave deviates a far.

For example:

RD:50519 WR:15987

 

Did the network ever work properly for long periods of time or is this a commissioning issue?

What makes you think the read and write values should not be different? Is there one write command for every read request?

Is there not an actual error log with a good vs bad number of transactions count?

What is the network hardware layer? RS-485? Ethernet? Fiber optic? Distance?

Any isolator/repeater in use?

 

Did it work ok before?
Is it not a hardware related problem?
Can you replace something to rule the hardware problem out?
