I am using a weintek HMI screen as a Slave to my PLC. They both commuincate through Modbus/TCP. When connected with a physical network [my organisation network TCP/IP], the HMI screen loses its commuincation with the PLC. And displays some weird values /alarm on the screen. My query is there problem if I operate a ModbusTCP device with DHCP enabled network.
Where my HMI IP address and other param assigned statically.

Thanks

Is your static IP known to the network administrator? i.e. did you pick a static IP that may already be in use by another computer? Disconnect your HMI and PLC from the corporate network and do a ping of your static IP. Lastly, does your HMI or PLC try to use DHCP as a default?
