If we are speaking about Quantum PLC, then you have 2 options to move. You can use Unity Pro software or the traditional Concept software. If you go for brand new installation now, go for Unity Pro if you are sure. If you want to maintain some old PLCs, existing istallations, then go for Concept. Both Softwares have almost the same functionalities. If you have modicon Momentum PLC, then you can only use Concept. The actual version is 2.6 SR2.
Contact your local Schneider repr and ask offer for order nr 372SPU47401V26 (Concept XL Single lic).

In case of Unity Pro: ask offer for order nr UNYSPUEFUCD20 (Unity Pro XL Single lic)

I preffer to use Modbus Plus to connect to the CPU from your PC. ModbusPlus is integrated to all Quantum CPUs. Use the PCMCIA typeIII Programming card inside your notebook: ref nr:416NHM21234 More details, contact your local Schneider Electric representative in your country.

First, specify with MODICON TSX PLC family (Momentum, Premium, Quantum, other).

Then, choose among ProWORX (traditional US ladder logic), Concept (IEC 61131-3), Unity (IEC 61131-3).

We are modifying an existing installation of Modicon Quantum (hot backup) system. The previous vendor who installed the PLC has used Concept 2.1. We have modsoft as well as Concept 2.6. The PLC backup given by the vendor does not open in the newer version of Concept, it gives a message that the 2.1 version is required. Has anyone faced a similar problem before? It seems that the version 2.1 is no longer sold.

You must ask the vendor to export the PLC programs in Concept v2.1, then use the concept converter to import the programs in the version 2.6
