Dear, Sir,

We have one module IMMFP01 firmware F5 in the storage. We tried to install it as a back up module in MMU rack inside PCU cabinet.

- Before installing MFP module, we checked all module jumpers and dipswitch

- We initialized the module (we proceed the steps correctly)

- We sited the SW4 to be back up

Statues led flashing Green (continue flash). That means the module now not hot takeover ready, the redundancy not occurs.

Can you help us to solve this problem?

Best regards,

Two things to check:
1)both cards have same firmware revision.
2)redundancy cable properly connected between both cards.

The "green flashing" LED simply means there is no configuration within the MFP; that its been formatted or initialized and is blank. If I recall once the backup MFP sees its Primary Module (or addressed MFP) the LED will become a soild green and all the red LED lights more importantly 7 and/or 8 will be dark. Once the Primary finishes downloading its configuration onto the standby/backup addressed MFP the bottom red led light #8 turns on. if the red led light at any time turns off and the main green module stays a steady green means the backup/secondary module has a problem maintaining its hot-standby status. Yes check to make sure you have the right cable connected between the two MFP modules and you have no address conflicts and certainly the firmware matches between the two modules
