N2 plant in khp controls by siemens plc 115H that monitoring by cp528 &Mp20 and a SOFTWARE
called COROS after this process mentioned above the information transfers to DCS

unfortunately its MP20 has some problem so we are going to change monitoring system besides the information will be transfered by cp524 to general IPC

we really appreciatd it if you could answer our questions

1--is it possible monitoring by cp524 ?

2--do we need to any special software ?

3--if we communicate with as511, are we able to take status variable ?

4--do wincc software work on a general pc ? if , yes, what kind of card &port do we need ?

5--if we use cp524, monitoring speed will increase or decrease ?

if there is any other points about this subject

Yes.

You will need a Scada SW running on the IPC and CP524 driver for it (Free in WinCC). Also COM P+P package to configure CP524.

Yes. But in this case you will not use CP524, but the PG port.

Yes. You can use COM port, but RS232 submodule is necessary on CP524. If you will use the PG port of the CPU instead, RS232/TTY converter should be used.

Decreases. With CP524, you communicate with a maximum 39,2 kbit/sec. However, CP528 directly takes the data from S5 bus. You can use ethernet or profibus for faster communication. In these cases you will need to use other CP's instead of CP524 and other hardware on the PC.
