Motor shaft seal cooling circuit

In the shaft seal cooling circuit in power house there is two motors (pumps), ac and dc (standby).

AC motor: 380V, 10,9A and 2930 rpm.
DC motor: 220V, 30A and 2700 rpm.

Since 2003 after refurbishment of the power house, the system is running in this conditions, but few days ago when the dc motor start due to the failure of the ac motor or for weekly assay there is underpressure in the circuit. Can you please help me.
