NEC Code for Class II Locations is covered in Article 502. Wiring methods are covered in 502-4 (a) and (b).

Do not have refs from IEC.

In regards to Class II wiring and the NEC, Article 725 is the article you want.

Also, there is an article, "Classification of circuits under Article 725," in the September 1998 of CEE News by Noel Williams. This is the only article that discusses instrument level wiring that I have seen on this subject. It can
