I have to set up the HMI for My current plc system. To start with I Don't really know where to start. I have had some experience programming plc's and microcontrollers but I really don't know where to start, or how to establish communication between the two I know that I have to use the wincc software in which I already have but nothing more.

 

What PLC and HMI are you using? Need a lot more info... If you have winCC your using Siemens? what version of WinCC 2005, 2007, 2008 ??

 

For Siemens Step7 you need to use WinCC, you need to have the PC USB Adaptor, you need to have a license USB.
