Looking at the progress made and the degree of harmony and consensus achieved, I feel the present leadership of this project is ineffective and out of touch with those most interested in contributing. This I take as a vote of "no confidence". This project is important enough to me that if anyone can do a better job of achieving consensus and "herding the cats".
I will gladly abdicate. If no one wants the job or if a consensus cannot be reached, I will continue as is my responsibility. In any case, I will contribute as long as the project remains Free, Linux and Open Source. I am open to nomination.

I nominate Dan Pierson as one of few who groks the Open Source concept.

Of course we (well, I anyhow) have "confidence" in the leadership you have provided. Just that sometimes even "leaders" need to be pushed around a bit.

You started this project and I think you're doing a fine job as it's founder. I know it's frustrating at times, but I don't think that anyone else with a full time job and no project staff would do better.

That said, I hope that I'll be able to make some concrete contributions later on. Kernel IO drivers is not an area I have experience in...

Hi,

I support Curt as the project leader, he is one of the first to support initiatives, and encourage development. He is willing to consider
alternate views and lead the cause of open control systems to the greater community. Although I may be headed in a slightly different
direction than he has planned, he has maintained life in the project, and his efforts will continue the growth. I would hate to see him lose
faith in an open source project because 'it' is not seeming to progress.

From what I have seen the leadership on this project is just fine. We are an open group from varying backgrounds, working towards a 'fairly' common goal. Considering all of this, I think it is coming along nicely. It is natural that we all have slightly different ideas on where we are going and the right way to get there, however the idea of open source is that, these ideas when combined should allow this project to undergo its own process of natural selection. The better, stronger ideas will eventually come out on top.

Anyways enough of my Open source Vs Darwin speech ha ha
