Can you please provide some pointers on Honeywell thermal power plant process control system. I am particularly interested in the components and how it actually interfaces with the power plant and logic that it uses to trip the plant.

The Honeywell Experion PKS system has both the DCS system hardware and software applications specifically for thermal power plant control. The applications for the PID control of the loops and logic are configured in the controller. Please refer to http://www.experionpks.com for more detailed information. Honeywell has a great deal of experience with our DCS systems at Thermal Power Plants.
