We have OPC Server/client to communicate with DCS (Emerson) from Mitsubishi. Have AE (Alarm/Event) Server and DA Server (Data). Sometimes AE Server stops working and so no data reach to DCS. Installed new Diagnostic software for AE server and since then no problem (only 2 week since installed), but we got problem to DA Server now.

Besides this we see that when too many events occurs such as GT Trip, it does not send all the events. We missing lots of events at DCS. We do not have diagnostic tool for DA Server yet...Any advise/suggestion to troubleshoot this one ...

What kind of error messages or events are being logged by the client? Are there errors for the application being logged to the Windows System and Application Event logs? These can help go narrow down what is going on. Right now I can think of about 70 things that could be going on depending upon what OS's are being used, what service packs are installed, and what error messages could be posted.

Thanks for reply. We do not have log tool other than system (windows) logs. Mitsubishi is OPC Server whereas Emerson is Client. Have Windows XP Operating System with SP 2. I would get system log and will update soon.
