Dear Sir, I am a newbie in the field. Can anybody help me clarify my doubts based on the following questions.

1. What is the difference between OPC compliant and OPC enabled, for a DCS?

2. Response Rate from DCS: What all parameterss affect the Response rate of Data transfer from a DCS?
How do I modify the data response rate from a DCS to, say, a Historian?

Thanks in advance for your help / guidance.

Hello,

OPC Enabled: is a term usually used for products that support OPC technology. i.e.: HMIs or Historians

OPC Compliant: is a term used for products that have passed all the tests in the Compliance Test Tool(a tool from the OPC Foundation).

Since you are using the OPC, you can change the update rate for the OPC Groups to whatever is appropriate for your system.
