I need to have OPC Server functionality across Modbus+, Siemens L1 and Allen Bradley Data Highway+ networks. Does anyone know of a common OPC server that could support all three PLC networks?

 

Go through http://www.softwaretoolbox.com and look for Toolbox OPC Power Server. It contains 50 over drivers of multivendor PLCs.

 

Your best bet it to look at Software Toolbox (.com). They support all the major PLC's. You can download the software for free and look through the documentation to see what communications they support.

You may also want to consider running multiple OPC Servers on the same PC from each particular vendors depending on your application. For Example, you may want to run RS Linx OPC Server for AB or the Seimens SIMATIC SOFTNET OPC server. The benefit of that is that you segment your system and support can be provided by them.
