Optical Sensor

Hi,

I am looking for a optical sensor for counting glass bottles. The sensor should be able to count at speeds up to 320 bottles/minute and operate in temperature up to 350C. Any body have any idea on which sensor can suit this purpose?

Any diffusion type should work. Try Banner. They will be happy to talk to you and will get you the best type for your application.

350C is pretty hot. I can't think of anybody that makes a standard sensor that can handle that kind of temperature. You may have to use a fiber optic extension. Even that might be a problem. For example, the FU-84C through-beam fiber-optic cable from Keyence is "high-temperature" rated at 300C. They go to higher temps for reflective mode. Banner appears to go to 480C in their through-beam sensors. See:

Click on the "Literature" tab and look on page 5 (PDF page 5; it's denoted as 208 in the text).
