OSI PI Engineering units conversion in GE Control System

Hey guys

I have a PI server running as a historian with a GE Control system.

lately we started changing our official engineering units from US to the Metric system.

that was simple with the ControlST and the ToolBox since it just needed a change from the settings menu.

NOW the problem is that some TAGs in the historian are set to be in a US measuring system and the rest changed once I changed the system in the ControlST. so simply put [[how can I manually modify the engineering units in the PI Processbook?]]

In Process Book? - You don't.

Modify the tags in the PI server using the Bulk Excel tools. Since you have changed units then you should also have changed ranges. Note that PI doesn't really care about "units" - it simply stores numeric values. So you will need to find a way of recording in PI (by perhaps creating new tags, or recalculating historical data) that your scaling, units and ranges have changed.

If you want to back calculate imperial to new metric values for your old data you can also use performance equation (pe).
