I want to communicate DCS ovation with Matlab using OPC server. Matlab works only as OPCclient and in ovation i found OPC but i don't know if it is client or server, matlab opc client doesn't recognize ovation. I am student and i do my thesis so if somebody have instructions to ovation because in help there are small amount of information. Can somebody help me with OPC?

 

Ovation can be a server or client, but you have to have the proper software installed. They have two manuals available: CON-016 (OPC Client Mapper), and US-1036 (OPC Server). If you have an Ovation system, you can register with the user group and download the manuals for free. Just contact your local Emerson representative to do so.
