Seem to have burnt out a couple of backlight bulbs in quick succession, on a PanelView1000. Is anyone aware of likely cause?. And, as the replacement cost from AB is quite high, does anyone know of a less expensive second
source.

heat perhaps.

all spare parts from ab are pricey. you are paying a premium not to have to hunt things down yourself. if your time is not especially valuable it is likely you can find a replacement on your own.
