If percentage droop setting of a generator is the amount of frequency decrease as the load increases from 0% to 100%, is this 100% load the load under design conditons or present conditions?
We have got two gas turbines running in parallel, one on Isochronous and other on part load droop mode.The capacity of turbine is higher in winter conditions than in summer conditions(it is 17MW now a days, in summer).With what reference we usually talk about droop?
Secondly, the turbine which is on 4% droop has got its reference speed 101.74% and its rated speed is 100%. It has got a load of 13.6MW and rated load equal to 18MW. Shouldn't its reference speed be higher than this for this load? How come this be happening?
