We are using Honeywell Plantscape R320 on Windows NT 4.0 version. Can someone guide me to use same Plantscape version on Windows 2000 or Windows 2003?

 

I am currently running Plantscape R320 on a Windows XP machine for testing and have not had any issues. Plantscape sees it as Windows NT 5.1. Windows 2000 has been used for several years without issues, so I am told by a local Honeywell service rep, although as you know Honeywell doesn't support R320 past NT 4.0. so you upgrade at your own risk, but I think it's a manageable risk. I have also run Plantscape on a virtual machine with NT 4.0 OS on top of a base XP machine.

 

Have you had any issues trying to get Plantscape R320 OPC Server to communicate with OPC Clients from the Virtual Machine?

We have set up Plantscape R320 on NT4 SP6a Virtual Machine and are testing PI OPC communication with it - no success at this stage being able to browse points... even Honeywell's own test utility is not working.
