We inherited the engineering of a control system that is about 14 years old. The unit is using a Modicon 113-02 CPU and the sparse documentation we received indicates that the files are in Concept.
We have version 2.5 of concept however it will not allow us to import the existing files.

At the PLC we can not upload the program because it was not downloaded with the upload files.

A program we have called Concept Converter is asking for file extensions we do not have.

So We are looking for someone that has an older version of Concept or knows of a way to make this conversion.

Long term we are planning on upgrading this controller but obviously need to know more about what is inside.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you considered contacting Schneider tech support? They can probably at least tell you what your options are.

What file extensions do you have? I might have a version of Concept 2.2 on an old computer I could fire up. Would have to look and see.

 

This agony we have to go through schneider is terrible. They should have provided provisions for older programs loading facility within the newer versions. Anyways, it is extremely crucial that you find the older version of Concept which the logic was originally written. Using DBconv.exe tool in that version, you can export files to support the newer version.

Btw, if you get any alternative solution from Schneider techsupport, kindly update the topic.
