Hello, I'm Manuel from Spain, and I am searching the PLC Simulator on the internet and I didn't found. I don't know if this program is
shareware or not. I am a student of automation with S7-300 Siemens and this program is very important for me. Thanks, and sorry with my english language.
My e-mail is [email protected] .

Hello Manuel,
the Spanish site http://eya.swin.net/s7emu.htm offers a free Siemens S7 PLC simulator for educational use. For more professional purposes I think you will need the original Siemens PLCsim, but you have to buy it from Siemens.
You may consider also to buy a cheap Siemens CPU like an S7-300 CPU312 or 313 (you will need a RS232/MPI converter too)

Hello, If you want PLC simulator, I can send to your e-mail address. Siemens PLC and omron PLC have'nt got simulator, and I don't know. But I have got EASY 412-rc Mouller PLC simulator and Schneider PLC simulator. If you send a message to my e-mail address, I will send the PLC simulator to your address. [email protected]

I guess the initial question was raised to check if there are other vendors
than Siemens that sell a S7 Simulator. IMHO the AList is a perfect means to
get a market-wide answer

Like the fact that we have a simulator for siemens S7, it is not entirely complete as it is targeting education (the reason I didn't respond before is that I didn't get the feeling that
our product is what was asked for). I don't know what siemens charge for their simulator, but I know that we charge for our and since it comes with as a part of an educational package I don't think siemens own simulator would be a lot more expensive (I don't mind being corrected on that point if the oposite is true - of course).

The point is that someone might have done a free standing simulator that doesn't cost as much and I think the question was perfectly valid. Perhaps you (the original poster) should have mentioned that you thought siemens own simulator was a little bit too costy and wanted something less expensive, since that would have explaned the reason for the question a little bit more.

OK, my fanny's red, enough already!! I apologize! Yes, the question was valid. I regret my response was not received in the manner intended. <sigh>

Hello Mister Rombaut,

I do not know exactly what you need, but check at www.mhj.de for a product named SPS-VISU S5/S7.

It is simulating a S5 or S7 PLC and a process you can configure. There is also a free demo of the program and other programming tools for Simatic and compatibles.

I found only german versions, but you can contact them under [email protected] to get information of other versions.

The members of MHJ wrote a very good book for starting STEP 7, called STEP7-Crashkurs, that was reprinted a german automatisation magazin.

I hope I could help.

Greetings from germany "Home of the SIMATIC"

Simulation for both S5 and S7.

I intepreted the question to mean that someone was looking for free software to download.

In that case I understood why they were
not asking the vendor or its representative.

The reply that Siemens's software is
pricey got my interest. I called my local distributor ( Control Corp. of America) and asked for a part number and price for the plcsim.
The price quoted to me was $675.

I have used this software for almost two years. I have developed batch solutions for an explosives manufacturing plant using Siemens PCS 7
software. The plcsim is well worth the money.

I have bought VB drivers that let me talk to a plc and I paid more than $675. For what you get I consider 675 for plcsim a very reasonable
price.
