PLC3 ladder has been converted to Controllogix by one of the North American Companies. The Company has provided us new ACD file and also list of Rungs that need modifications. I wish to know if any one has carried out post conversion excercise to guide me smoothly into this.

Having done a conversion from a Master/Two Slave PLC3 architecture to a deterministic CLX architecture, I would be also interested in seeing how the ACD compiler reacted to the octal and hexidecimal addressing differences between the processors.

If your current PLC3 ladder uses 'PIND' instruction things would become even a bit more complicated.

 

FORTUNATELY "PIND" IS NOT USED IN MY ORIGINAL PLC3 LADDER. ALSO ACD COMPILER HAS CONVERTED ALL OCTAL ADDRESSING TO DECIMAL WHICH FOR CERTAIN DATA FILES I WISH TO RE-CONVERT BACK TO OCTAL IN ACD.
